Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I’m having a hard time. Will therapy help?
A: We can determine that together! Feel free to give me a call and we can discuss your situation. Then you can decide with confidence.
Q: What if I'm not sure that I will make a connection with my therapist?
A: Sometimes we get a feeling right away that we "click" with a therapist and other times it may take longer to get to know someone. It is normal to spend a few sessions to become comfortable enough to talk about your personal issues with a therapist. In fact, talking about your comfort level in a therapy session can be helpful.
Q: Are you going to tell me what to do?
A: I see many people who have found themselves off course after going along with others’ well-intended pressure or advice. One size doesn’t fit all.
I will help you identify and sort through your options, and support you in choosing your best ones.
Q: How long is therapy going to take?
A: I wish I could answer with a time frame or number of sessions, but one size doesn’t fit all here either. We’re all unique. After we meet, I’ll have a better sense of it. Of course, I’m open to discussing it at any time during the counseling process.
Q: Do you see couples or families? Or just individuals?
A: I love seeing individuals, couples and families!
Q: How do I get started?
A: I know this isn’t easy, but you’ll start to feel better once you’ve made the call. Call me today at 818/590-8309. I look forward to speaking with you.
